The overall geometric design gives this carpet a deep tribal feel. The chosen colour palette is perfectly balanced between the aquamarine blue in the borders and the dark blue of the main field. The three central hexagonal motifs and the surrounding field are full of archaic symbols, but despite all the detail the overall impression is one of calm. Even today, 135 years after it was woven, the detail and beauty of the design conveys a balance between the geometry of our modern surroundings and the beauty of nature.
