A wonderfully balanced rug with cheerful and harmonious shades of natural, plant-derived, dyes. The four medallions with central cruciform elements seem to float off the azure blue field filled with little stars, animals and wheels of life motifs and bordered by by diagonal stripes and cruciform elements in an array of subtle alternating colours. This lovely antique collector carpet is all wool in construction with natural handspun wool warps and wefts. A stunning antique weaving. A little worn in places, but with an authentic tribal feel not found on newer rugs.

Signs of age and wear, low pile, a number of old repairs, original finishes all around.
