19世紀のペルシャのカムセカーペット (ハムセ / Khamseh) は、遊牧民であるカシュガイ族の織物と多くの共通点があり、深い色彩と複雑で様式化された古代のモチーフや動物が使われていることで、トライバルラグのコレクターより絶賛されています。カムセは19世紀の南ペルシャの部族連合で、そのカーペットのスタイルや地理的起源はカシュガイ (Qashqai) やアフシャール (Afshar) の伝統と繋がりがあります。ファールス地方の他の遊牧民の織物と同様、装飾は変化に富み、自然染料の色合いと上質なウールを使うことでより美しく仕上げられています。カムセ族の伝統的な色調は、深みがあり、中間色から濃い青色、錆色が特徴的です。このラグでは、動物や樹木が描かれた白い地模様の中に、鳥が描かれた正方形のモチーフが中央に配され、周囲の濃い色の縁取りとのバランスが取れています。
120年以上前のものにしては状態は良く、ところどころパイルが低く、使用感はありますが、日常的なカーペットとしてご使用いただけます。

Nineteenth-century Persian Khamseh carpets share much in common with nomadic Qashqai textiles and are highly prised by tribal rug collectors for their deep colours and use of complex, stylised ancient motifs and animals. The Khamse were a 19th-century South Persian tribal confederation whose carpet style and geographical origins are linked to the Qashqai and Afshar traditions. As with other nomadic textiles from the Fars region, the decoration is varied and enhanced by the use of natural dye shades and fine wool. The traditional colour palette of the Khamse is characterised by deep, neutral to dark blue and rust colours. In this rug, a white ground pattern with animals and trees is balanced by a square motif with fish and birds in the centre and a darker coloured border around it.
The rug is in good condition for being over 120 years old, with low pile in places and signs of use, but can be used as an everyday carpet.
